David W. Norrington, DMD
Meet Dr. Norrington
David W. Norrington, DMD, grew up in Charleston, SC. He attended the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree. Following graduation, he worked as an engineer for nine years before deciding to pursue dentistry.
Dr. Norrington returned to school at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, where he earned his DMD degree and finished at the top of his class. Though he initially considered oral surgery, he soon realized his true calling was endodontics. After completing his Endodontic Residency at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Norrington entered private practice in 2007.
A Different Approach to Endodontics
Dr. Norrington’s engineering background brings a unique analytical perspective to endodontic care. He believes in taking time with patients and never rushing through procedures. At West Atlanta Endodontics, he and Dr. Smithson limit their daily caseload to a select number of cases, fewer than many in-network competitors, ensuring each patient receives unhurried, attentive care.
Dr. Norrington utilizes cutting-edge technology, including cone beam CT for three-dimensional imaging, surgical microscopes, ultrasonic irrigation for superior cleaning, and Ion Plus biocompatible sealer. His calm, patient-centered approach—sitting down to talk patients through what’s happening and addressing their concerns—helps create a relaxed atmosphere from the moment patients walk through the door.
The entire West Atlanta Endodontics team embodies this philosophy, providing friendly, welcoming care that eases anxious patients’ concerns.
Dr. Norrington resides in Kennesaw with his wife and three children.
